One of the industry leaders in solid-state relay power controllers, HBControls has released two new series of solid-state relays, PC-X, and PC-L4 series. These highly versatile, multi-function proportional output controllers are uniquely suited for applications that require very precise control over the amount of power provided to resistive loads. Their microprocessor-based design enables them to control power to resistive loads with a high level of accuracy, proportional to the analog input provided.
The PC-X and PC-L4 series solid-state power controllers are designed to provide application flexibility. The required analog input range can be set on each relay via a selector switch, with three different available ranges; 0-5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA. In addition to selectable input options, these new solid-state relays also enable you to select between two types of proportional control; phase angle or burst fire control.
The PC-X series has been certified to handle up to 30 amps at the standard 40°C (104°F), whereas the more robust PC-L4 series can handle up to 50 amps at the same operating temperature.
